We're back on the road after a wonderful week in Ft Collins with friends that are family. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to be back next year. Sunday evening we had a lovely easy dinner on the awesome patio with a bit of wine and pizza (perfect dinner in my opinion). All at once much excitement on the street leading to her court. There are townhouses and one of them had a fire. We had 7 firetrucks, 2 ambulances and a police car. Fortunately it was not a severe fire but still took a good while to control. Slowly the extra firetrucks left and so did all the neighbors and us. Was nice to meet some more of Kathy's neighbors. On our last day we spent the afternoon with Kathy and Dick. They visited us at the campsite and then we went into Loveland, CO. Stopped at a fun store that had metal lawn ornaments and a full store of clothes and boots. Fun, fun and more fun. We then decided to stop at Benson Sculpture Garden. What an amazing place. This is a city park you can walk all around the park enjoying the sculptures. We spent close to two hours just walking, talking and enjoying. This is an amazing gift the city has given to all. No charge and we only saw half of it. We are going to do the other half next year. I believe in August they have a major sculpture exhibit that does cost to see. Then we went to the awesome patio at Kathy and Dick's house and had some treats and a drink or two. Christy and Zoe came over so we could say goodbye. After many hugs, goodbyes and a few tears we left and went home to get ready for phase 2 of the westward trip.
We got almost all the way across Wyoming yesterday and 5 miles from the Utah-Idaho border today. The scenery is beautiful and Jack will do some posting eventually!!! I promise to let you know when and how to see them. Beautiful mountains that are snow covered still but very difficult to see in a picture.
Tonight we are in Snowville Utah population 615. I think there might be two campers here. Weather is pretty good. Little bit of rain while we were driving but on both days we seemed to dodge bad storms. Was really looking bad here but seems to have missed our little paradise.
Will keep you informed of our progress to Portland, OR.
We've packed our previous life into a 10'x15' storage unit and are starting our new life in a 34' motor home. Setting sail early March 2013 and roaming the country in search of sights we've never seen before. We'll stop whenever we feel like it and visit as many friends and family members as we can along the way. Follow our adventures "To Nowhere Fast"...

It's Aloha Friday and we are camped at the Riverview Campsite in Loveland, Colorado. We have been here since Tuesday and are really enjoying our visit.
We have been spending time with our friends from Hawaii that have relocated to Ft. Collins, Colorado. Tuesday we had dinner with Kathy and her daughter and son-in-law and grandbaby Zoe. Zoe is just about the cutest, sweetest baby. She will be 2 in June and has a vocabulary of a 3 year old. Sweet disposition. Wednesday we took Kathy to dinner and Thursday we went to old town for lunch and then to the party store to prepare for Dick Freitas retirement celebration. After 9 long years, Dick has decided to finally retire and move lock, stock and barrel to Ft. Collins. We are lucky to be here to welcome him home and spend some time with them before we head west.
Today we went to Kathy's to wait for Dick to arrive. The front of the house was decorated with a banner and sign and Kathy's friend and neighbor Pam bought balloons. She also bought silly string and we waited to surprise Dick. Finally he pulled up out front and Pam and I hid and waited for him to come into the kitchen. Jack was working the camera and when he finally loads all our pictures for you all to see you will be able to enjoy Dick's surprise. He walked in the kitchen and we hooted and hollered and blasted him with silly string. To say he was surprised is an understatement. He was so happy that we all acknowledged his retirement and we were so happy to be there to celebrate with him. We had champagne and pupu's on the front porch and then when the sun moved we relocated to the back patio and enjoyed the afternoon. Kathy made a lovely dinner for us and the family and then we came home so that Dick could relax. What a wonderful day.
We will spend a few more hours with them this weekend then we head out on Tuesday and by Saturday we will be in Portland and we can hug Erin as much as we want.
Will keep you posted. Have a good weekend.
Aloha

Well hi everyone!!!
I'm back. I know that I said I would get better at blogging but you can see I lied. We are back on the road and so I thought it was time to catch you up.
I won't go into great detail. We had a great winter in Florida. Spent a lot of time with our old friends and with our new friends and even made some brand new friends. We decided to stay and extra month in Florida this year and even that got extended.
We watched our friends leave starting at the end of March all the way through the end of April. Got real quiet after that. We didn't get out of New Smyrna Beach until the 5th of May.
Jack had another incident with A-Fib around Easter and his cardiologist recommended an ablation and he decided that he would have it done. All went well and we could get on the road on the 5th of May.
We spent 3 days in Nashville and went to a show at the Ryman Auditorium and did some sightseeing. We truly like that city.
The next stop was 2 nights in St. Louis and a trip up the Arch. All the way to the top. Our friend Carolyn recommended this and we are both glad we did it. Not easy for me to look up and realize we were going to the top but not as scary as I thought.
Next we headed towards Kansas City. Our campsite was in Independence, MO so we decided to visit the Truman Presidential Library. This was our first visit to a presidential library and we enjoyed. Need to remember that as we travel around.
We are now heading to Ft. Collins, Colorado to visit our friends. We are staying there for a week and then heading to Portland and Erin.
Will try to be better at this as we travel around.
